1776년 정조의 즉위식이 열렸던 궁궐. 도성 안의 서쪽에 있다하여 서궐로 불리웠음.  1910년 일본인들이 경성중학교를 짓기위해 철거하기 시작해서 지금은 여러 건물들이 없어짐.
