Reopened to the public in Oct 2018 after five years of restoration, and I like it! Walls are brightly colored (as originally intended), and the exhibition of the collections feels up to date.

You may be asked to leave your handbag in the locker (I had to, even though it's not really huge). In this case, be sure to have a spare 1kr coin (it will be returned once you open the locker later).

Great play rooms for kids! Several themed rooms with lots of surprises and artefacts to play with. Best to visit on a weekday to avoid a queue.

The paintings on the last floor is what makes it totally worth it. From Renaissance to 19th century, expecially very important russian artists. A must see in Stockholm!!
